This week we enjoyed learning about people that influenced our government. During this process we also learned about ourselves, our beliefs and values, and people that will influence our government one day.... The kids did an awesome job researching and presenting historical figures that have influenced our government in the past. We enjoyed learning all about their contribution and understand the significance of their lives. We now understand to whom we owe the freedom we all enjoy to express ourselves, or our equal rights. It is my hope that this better understanding resulted in an greater appreciation of what we enjoy here in the states in this present time.
