Structural Adaptations

We have been studying all about Adaptations. Behavioral as well as structural adaptations that help organisms survive. Today, we looked at different items to determine how they benefit the different organisms. We looked at bear claws, full body zebra skin, bull shark jaw, Python's skull, bat skull, hawkbeak turtle, Asian Elephant tooth, tarantula, Nile crocodile's skin, and walrus's tusk. Tomorrow at Brazos Bend state park, the kids will see how the American alligator is adapted to it's habitat as well as many other organisms that share this wonderful ecosystem.
